He was a man who defied fate time and time again, a true survivor who seemed to have a personal vendetta with the Grim Reaper. By the sheer force of his will and character, Keith Coppen lived a life that left an indelible mark on all who knew him. To some, he was a rough diamond, a man of untamed spirit and unwavering determination. Many have echoed the sentiment, 'Best damn chopper pilot I ever knew.' His legend endures, carried forward in hushed conversations and the spirited banter of the Lowveld. But perhaps his proudest legacy is the watchful gaze he casts over his beloved grandchildren, Tayla, Ryan, Keegan and Keith. I have no doubt that he guards over them like a hawk, a guardian angel from the skies."
